Tenza Valley, from the páramo to the piedmont of the plains

Enjoy the Tenza Valley!

• Day 1 Arrival in Garagoa, in the central park you will meet your local guide to learn about the capital of the province of Neira and the history of the Mamapacha monument, then we will check in at the Mamapacha Refuge, a magical house in the middle of the High Andean forest, made with bio-construction techniques. There we will begin with a specialty coffee workshop and you will discover techniques to enhance the flavor of coffee using organic products from the region, our first encounter with the coffees of the Tenza Valley. In the afternoon, get ready to hike the El Jucual trail, where you can feel the tranquility of the Mamapacha Bijagual páramo.
• Day 2 Breakfast at the lodge and we leave for La Esmeralda Dam, where you can see the infrastructure of the dam and learn about the history of this important engineering work. Then we will pass through one of the oldest tunnels to reach the 70th waterfall, and at the end of the afternoon we will move to San Luis de Gaceno to rest.
• Day 3 Breakfast at the hotel and departure to tour the Portones de Tontogüé trail, where you can take pictures and pass over one of the longest suspension bridges in the region, see the majesty of the Lengupá River, you can also climb to a viewpoint that will show you the entire landscape of the plains foothills. Afterwards, we will enjoy a Sanlúcar de Sanlúcar lunch in a bijao leaf and rest to return to the city of origin.
