Treasures and Emeralds

The day begins with a welcome in the main park of the municipality of Chivor, we will learn about the history and the natural and cultural richness of this territory . Then we will visit a museum of the precious stone and they will tell us about mining, we will also learn about the carving of emeralds. Then we head towards the emerald mines in 4×4 trucks. During the tour we will make two stops at strategic points, one to observe the Indigenous Aqueduct and another to observe the different cuts of emerald mining, then we will make a tour of the emerald mining sectors, open pit and then go to the tunnel entrance to tour the work fronts, recognize veins, productive areas and mining methods.
