Day 1 Arrival in Villa de Leyva and check-in at the selected hotel. In the afternoon you will meet your local guide at the hotel reception, to enjoy the tour of the historic center of Villa de Leyva in which you will connect with the history, architecture and legacy of master Luis Alberto Acuña, you will know emblematic and representative places of both the life of the master, and the beautiful Villa, then you will be surprised with various cultural events with which you can interact in a place that transports you to another era. At the end of the day it is free time in which we invite you to create your own story. Lodging.
Day 2 Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the municipality of Ráquira (Olleros Village), where you will learn all the work done with clay and its different techniques. We will also visit the artisan’s hand, a ceramic sculpture on the outskirts of the municipality. Then we will discover the esparto grass, in a weaving workshop, we will learn about this natural fiber, one of the oldest in the department, we will be taught the craft to create products in this material, its history and family traditions that have accompanied it. During the workshop participants will learn the techniques to start from scratch and will deliver a final product which will be a small esparto grass handmade piece.
Day 3 Free day to enjoy the local gastronomy, rest and return to your city of origin.
